Superman Captures Third USA Nationals Crown Worth $50,000!

Jonathan Davenport, of Blairsville, Georgia, racked up thirteenth feature win of 2022 and his third career 'USA Nationals' crown on Saturday night, August 6 at the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin! On Friday night, Jonathan advanced four spots to finish sixth in his first heat race, while he secured a victory in the second round of heat races. Following a triumph in the pole dash, Jonathan rolled off from the pole position in Saturday's 100-lap 'USA Nationals.' JD then officially led each and every circuit during the crown jewel extravaganza to bag the $50,000 windfall over a top five that included runner-up Chris Madden, Tyler Erb, Ricky Weiss, and Brandon Sheppard!

Earlier in the weekend at CLS, things got started on Thursday night with a World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series shootout, which boasted a $6,000 payday. Jonathan Davenport Competes in $50k Prairie Dirt Classic

"Superman" Jonathan Davenport invaded Fairbury Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois over the July 29-30 weekend for the annual running of the 'Prairie Dirt Classic,' which was sanctioned once again by the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series. On Friday night during preliminary action with 81 cars on the grounds, Jonathan stopped the clock only 33rd quickest in qualifying before advancing past nine competitors during his $3,000 to win semifeature to land in the eighth finishing position. After winning his B-Main on Saturday evening, JD was unfortunately an early retiree in the 100-lap 'Prairie Dirt Classic.' Gunning for the $50,000 top prize, the Blairsville, Georgia standout was stuffed into the fence on lap 20 and settled for a disappointing twenty-seventh place effort. JD Goes on Roll; Wins Silver Dollar Nationals & Hawkeye 50!

The Double L Motorsports team and driver Jonathan Davenport picked up two big victories in the states of Nebraska and Iowa in recent days to elevate their 2022 win total to twelve! At I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska during the 'Silver Dollar Nationals,' Jonathan started off the lucrative weekend with an impressive runner-up effort on Thursday, July 21 behind only $12,000 victor Chris Madden. JD then won his first heat race on Friday night before placing sixth in his final heat race, which earned him enough points to roll off from the inside of the fourth row in the 80-lap 'Silver Dollar Nationals' headliner. After Mother Nature pushed the I-80 finale back to Sunday, Jonathan tracked down leader Tim McCreadie in lapped traffic on the 74th circuit and bagged the whopping $53,000 payday ahead of McCreadie, Devin Moran, Mike Marlar, and Earl Pearson, Jr.!

The #49 team then went straight to Boone Speedway in Boone, Iowa on Monday for the 'Hawkeye 50,' which was sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series. Jonathan won his heat race and later claimed another $20,000 top prize in the feature by taking home the checkers ahead of runner-up Dennis Erb, Jr., Mike Marlar, Tyler Bruening, and Bobby Pierce. With no rest for the wicked, the team then invaded Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa on Tuesday, July 26 for a $10,000 to win MARS Racing Series shootout. Davenport Conquers Stuart for Tenth Win and $20,000!

Jonathan Davenport, of Blairsville, Georgia, secured his tenth triumph of the 2022 racing season on Monday night, July 11 in the first of two XR Super Series battles at Stuart International Speedway in Stuart, Iowa! Jonathan swept the evening, as he earned Fast Time honors in qualifying, won his heat race, and later led all fifty circuits in the headliner to claim the $20,000 payday ahead of runner-up Tim McCreadie, Ryan Gustin, Mike Marlar, and Chad Simpson. Jonathan Davenport Wins $5,000 in Gopher 50 Prelim!

The Double L Motorsports team celebrated in victory lane for the ninth time in 2022 on Friday evening, July 8 in the second prelim night during the annual 'Gopher 50' at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota! Jonathan Davenport set a New Track Record during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying prior to winning his heat race and leading all 25 circuits in the main event. At the checkers, Jonathan had picked up the $5,000 paycheck for besting Brandon Overton, Tim McCreadie, Mike Marlar, and Kyle Strickler!

In the first prelim of the weekend on Thursday night, July 7, Jonathan once again won his heat race and battled for the lead late in the 25-lapper before claiming a third place podium effort behind only $5,000 victor Chris Madden and runner-up Brandon Sheppard. At Deer Creek Speedway on Saturday, July 9, JD was scheduled to start from the pole position in the $50,000 to win 'Gopher 50.' However, he opted to take a shot at an extra $25,000 by rolling off from the inside of the sixth row instead. Davenport Grabs Pair of Top Tens in Lernerville Prelims

The #49 team made their way to the storied Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania from June 23-25 for the 16th edition of the 'Firecracker 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned the lucrative mega-event for the very first time and 54 competitors piled into the pit area at the Keystone State speedplant to do battle in the three day extravaganza. On Thursday night in a $6,000 to win preliminary event, Jonathan Davenport ran third in his heat race prior to advancing up to sixth in the 30-lap sprint. In a similar $6,000 to win show on Friday evening, Jonathan placed third in his heat race and once again moved forward in the 30-lapper to land in the seventh finishing position.

When Saturday rolled around at Lernerville Speedway, a huge crowd assembled to witness who would go home with the whopping $50,000 top prize in the 'Firecracker 100' grand finale. Jonathan grabbed the second transfer spot through his loaded heat race and later rolled off from the outside of the sixth row in the 100-lap headliner. Hectic Week Headlined by $20,000 Belleville Victory!!

A busy week saw the Double L Motorsports team in action at both Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kansas and Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee from June 13-18. On Monday on the monstrous 1/2-mile speedplant at Belleville, Jonathan Davenport set Fast Time during qualifying, won his heat race, and then led all twenty circuits in the XR Super Series 'Belleville Dirt Nationals' opener to bag the $20,000 top prize ahead of runner-up Chris Madden, Chase Junghans, Kyle Strickler, and Chris Ferguson. At Belleville on Tuesday on the small 1/4-mile infield oval, Jonathan won his heat race and led the first nine circuits of the 50-lapper before winding up third behind only $40,000 victor Shane Clanton and runner-up Chris Madden.

Following a long trek to the Volunteer State, the #49 team competed in the 'Mountain Moonshine Classic' over the weekend. In the $5,000 to win prelim on Friday evening at Smoky Mountain Speedway, Jonathan clicked off the second fastest lap in Group B during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying prior to winning his heat race and running second in the 30-lap feature behind only race winner Jimmy Owens. Rainy Dirt Late Model Dream Pushed Back to September...

Following his life-changing 'Eldora Million' triumph, Jonathan Davenport was right back at it at Eldora Speedway over the weekend in the annual running of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' On Friday night, June 10, Jonathan stopped the clock eighth quickest in his group during qualifying before securing a victory in heat race action. The $12,000 to win preliminary feature was then unfortunately pushed back to Saturday afternoon due to rain showers and JD rolled off from the inside of the second row in the daytime affair. The Blairsville, Georgia superstar was battling hard inside of the top five in the 25-lapper when contact from another competitor sent him pitside with a flat tire. After quick attention from the #49 crew, Jonathan returned to the track to salvage a fourteenth place effort.

At the "Big E" on Saturday evening, June 11, all eyes in the pit area were fixated on capturing the $128,000 top prize. Jonathan was running a strong second in his loaded heat race before a flat right rear tire once again sent him pitside. "Superman" salvaged an eighth place finish in his heat race before storming from near the tail of his B-Main to secure a jaw-dropping victory. Jonathan then started the 100-lap 'Dirt Late Model Dream' from the inside of the eleventh row, but Mother Nature once again intervened after fourteen circuits and pushed the remainder of the crown jewel headliner to Wednesday, September 7. Davenport Pads Bank Account with Eldora Million Triumph!!!

Jonathan Davenport has etched his name into the record book by becoming an 'Eldora Million' Champion! Following a rain-out on Wednesday, the entire 'Eldora Million' spectacular was held at the famed Eldora Speedway on Thursday, June 9. In the afternoon preliminary event at the Rossburg, Ohio speedplant, Jonathan timed in tenth fastest in Group B during the qualifying session prior to dominating his heat race. After rolling off third on the grid in the 25-lap sprint, Jonathan blitzed past early leader Gregg Satterlee to grab the point on a lap 8 restart and never looked back en route to capturing the $12,000 payday ahead of Ricky Thornton, Jr., Bobby Pierce, Brandon Sheppard, and Jason Feger!

In the nightcap, JD accumulated enough points to sit on the pole of the fifth heat race, which he won easily. The Blairsville, Georgia superstar then started the 101-lap 'Eldora Million' from the outside of the front row and set sail early in the contest - leading by as much as seven seconds and eventually lapping up to the fifth position. In the waning laps, Jonathan had to win groove-swapping, lead-swapping duels with both Tim McCreadie and Chris Madden, but emerged victorious to collect the gargantuan $1,002,022 winner's check! "Superman" Jonathan Davenport bagged his fifth feature win of 2022 on Saturday night, June 4 in the 'Historic 100' grand finale at the sprawling West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia! Jonathan swept the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series program at the 5/8-mile speedplant by earning Fast Time honors during qualifying, winning his heat race, and leading all fifty circuits in the A-Main. JD dominated to capture the $50,000 top prize over a top five that included runner-up Brandon Overton, Earl Pearson, Jr., Gregg Satterlee, and Devin Moran!

Earlier in the weekend at WVMS, a $15,000 winner's check was up for grabs in Friday's opener. Jonathan clicked off the quickest time in Group B during qualifying and once again won his heat race. After starting the 30-lap main event from the outside of the front row, the Blairsville, Georgia superstar paced the stellar field from laps 9-23, but got hung up in lapped traffic. Davenport Spends Holiday Weekend at Wheatland & Eldora

Jonathan Davenport and Double L Motorsports spent their Memorial Day holiday weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri and Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Following a rain-out on Thursday at Wheatland, a $6,000 paycheck was up for grabs on Friday night in a 'Show-Me 100' prelim. Jonathan laid down the quickest lap in Group B during qualifying, won his heat race, and later led the 40-lap feature on four different occasions. At the checkers, JD was credited with a strong runner-up performance behind only victor Johnny Scott!

At Wheatland on Saturday evening, a whopping $50,000 top prize was on the line in the 30th edition of the 'Show-Me 100.' By virtue of accumulating the second most points in Friday's program, the Blairsville, Georgia superstar rolled off from the outside of the front row in the 100-lap crown jewel extravaganza. Jonathan then led laps 1-9, 12-62, and 67-88 before unfortunately spinning while battling for the lead in heavy lapped traffic. He was forced to the back for the restart and eventually wound up a disappointing sixteenth in the final finishing order.

A long overnight trip to Eldora Speedway then greeted the #49 team for the $5,000 to win 'Johnny Appleseed Classic' on Sunday, May 29. Jonathan stopped the clock second quickest overall during the qualifying session and later ran third in his loaded heat race. After starting eighth on the grid in the 30-lapper, JD had climbed up inside of the top five before suffering damage on his Longhorn racecar due to the rough track conditions. The #49 team made their way to The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina from May 11-14 for the 'Colossal 100,' which was sanctioned by the XR Super Series. On Wednesday night in the $25,000 to win opener, Jonathan Davenport won his heat race in preliminary action prior to advancing up to third in the 30-lap feature to trail only victor Chris Madden and runner-up Scott Bloomquist at the checkered flag. In a similar show on Thursday at the 4/10-mile speedplant, Jonathan placed third in his loaded heat race and later wound up eleventh in the final finishing order of the 30-lapper.

Following a rain-out on Friday evening, the lucrative 'Colossal 100' wrapped up in big way on Saturday and a whopping $50,000 top prize was up for grabs. The 2022 win total for Double L Motorsports now stands at four following a victory during the 'Dairyland Showdown' on Friday night, May 6 at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wisconsin! Jonathan Davenport stopped the clock second quickest in Group A during the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series qualifying session prior to finishing second in his loaded heat race. After drawing the outside of the fourth row for the start of the 40-lap feature event, JD blitzed to the front and took the lead from Tyler Erb on the 34th circuit. He then led the final seven laps to pocket the $10,000 windfall ahead of a top five that included runner-up Bobby Pierce, Tyler Erb, Spencer Hughes, and Cade Dillard!

In other action at Mississippi Thunder Speedway over the weekend, Jonathan vied for another $10,000 top prize in a 'Dairyland Showdown' prelim on Thursday evening. The Blairsville, Georgia ace was unfortunately disqualified following a heat race win due to a droop rule violation, but later rebounded to finish second in his B-Main and twenty-first in the 40-lapper. On Saturday in the $50,000 to win grand finale, Jonathan knocked down the quickest lap in Group B during qualifying before emerging victorious in his heat race. The Double L Motorsports team turned in a very impressive week of finishes from April 26-30 by racking up a pair of high-profile victories and two runner-up efforts across the states of Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee! Jonathan Davenport now sits on three feature wins in 2022 after capturing a $22,022 top prize in a Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series contest on Wednesday at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana and a $25,000 payday in the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series 'Bristol Bash' opener on Friday at the dirt-covered Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. At Brownstown, Jonathan won his heat race, took the lead on lap five of the feature, and drove to the commanding triumph over Bobby Pierce, Mike Marlar, Brandon Overton, and Kyle Larson. At Bristol, JD also won his heat race before leading the final four circuits of the 30-lapper to win over Ricky Weiss, Kyle Bronson, Scott Bloomquist, and Chris Madden.

In the 'Florida Dirt Nationals' grand finale, which was sanctioned by the XR Super Series, Jonathan dominated the show by earning Fast Time honors during qualifying, winning his heat race, and leading each of the 50 circuits in the main event. At the checkers, Jonathan was celebrating a huge $50,000 triumph over a top five that included runner-up Kyle Strickler, Brandon Overton, Ashton Winger, and Shane Clanton!

A night earlier at All-Tech in the $25,000 to win weekend opener, Jonathan knocked down the second quickest time in Group B during qualifying before placing second in his loaded heat race.
