Caps Hectic Week with Silver Dollar Nationals Win!!!
21, 2018) "Superman" Jonathan Davenport
is now a two-time 'Silver Dollar Nationals' winner after tonight's
exciting 80-lapper at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska! Jonathan
rolled off from the outside of the sixth row in the Lucas Oil Late
Model Dirt Series biggie, but quickly charged up inside of the top
three before biding his time and saving his equipment for the end
of the race. After a caution on lap 67, JD turned up the wick, drove
up to second, and started to hunt down leader Bobby Pierce. With
Pierce doomed by engine failure late in the 'Silver Dollar Nationals,'
The LOLMDS point leader grabbed the point on the 78th circuit and
led the remaining three laps to capture the whopping $53,000 windfall

last night's exciting victory, preliminary action for the 8th Annual
'Silver Dollar Nationals' took place earlier tonight at I-80 Speedway
in Greenwood, Nebraska with two rounds of heat races providing passing
points that set the lineups for Saturday's main event. Jonathan
Davenport ran second in his first heat race of the evening, while
he finished fourth in his final prelim. The Blairsville, Georgia
ace accumulated the twelfth most combined passing points in heat
race action and will start tomorrow night's $53,000 to win headliner

19, 2018) Jonathan Davenport, of Blairsville, Georgia,
racked up his eleventh feature win of 2018 in thrilling fashion
tonight at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska! The rain-postponed
'Malvern Bank Go 50' took place tonight in the Cornhusker State
and JD was on kill from the time he unloaded his #49 machine. After
timing in second fastest in Group B during qualifying, Jonathan
won his heat race to earn the outside of the second row for the
start of the 50-lap Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series main event.
"Superman" drove to the front and led laps 34-35 before
gaining the point for good from Scott Bloomquist on the 37th circuit.
Jonathan then beat Bloomquist to the finish line by a mere 0.015

$10,000 top prize was up for grabs for Double L Motorsports tonight
in a first-ever visit to Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota.
The pristine Gopher State facility played host to its first Super
Late Model race since 1988 and 24 competitors signed into the pit
area for the 'Sturdevant's Auto Parts 50.' Jonathan Davenport knocked
down the second quickest lap overall during time trials and later
ran second in heat race action. After rolling off from the inside
of the third row in the 50-lap main event, Jonathan steered his
#49 machine all the way up to second to finish an impressive runner-up
behind only victor Scott Bloomquist!

very busy week on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series calendar
started tonight at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
The 2nd Annual 'Bullet Sportswear Shootout' took place and the #49
team vied for the $10,000 winner's check in the Tuesday night special.
Jonathan Davenport posted the third quickest time overall during
the qualifying session prior to picking up the victory in his stacked
heat race. JD then started third in the 50-lapper and found his
way to the point to lead lap 35, but a skirmish late in the distance
caused front-end damage and dropped the Blairsville, Georgia standout
to eighth in the final finishing order.
Battles for Top Tens in Midwest
15, 2018) The Double L Motorsports team continued
their busy month of July on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
trail over the July 13-14 weekend in a pair of $12,000 to win battles
at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and Lucas Oil Speedway
in Wheatland, Missouri. On Friday night in the 'NAPA Know How 50'
at Granite City, Jonathan Davenport qualified thirteenth fastest
overall during time trials, ran fifth in his heat race, and later
advanced up to ninth in the 50-lap headliner. In the annual 'Diamond
Nationals' on Saturday evening at Wheatland, JD suffered terminal
mechanical problems in his heat race prior to unloading a back-up
car to finish sixth in the B-Main and storming past sixteen competitors
in the 50-lapper to salvage a sixth place feature showing. Jonathan

Runs into Trouble in Grassy Smith Memorial...
8, 2018) A Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tripleheader
in the Southeast was planned for the #49 team from July 5-7, but
with a pair of rain-outs at Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville,
North Carolina and Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee,
Jonathan Davenport entered one lone showdown at Cherokee Speedway
in Gaffney, South Carolina on Friday evening. The 20th edition of
the 'Grassy Smith Memorial' was held at the legendary speedplant
and 30 entrants were on hand to vie for the $12,000 winner's check.
Jonathan ran third in heat race action, but later drew a lap 37
yellow flag in the 50-lapper and slipped to fourteenth in the final
finishing order. JD is still on top of the heated LOLMDS point standings

3, 2018) The hectic stretch of racing leading up
to the 4th of July holiday wrapped up tonight at Muskingum County
Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio, as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
presided over another $12,000 to win throwdown. In front of a huge
crowd at MCS, Jonathan Davenport bagged the ninth quickest lap in
Group B during qualifying before running third in his competitive
heat race. After starting the 50-lap feature event from the outside
of the fifth row, JD stormed up inside of the top five and landed
on the podium in the third position behind only victor Gregg Satterlee
and runner-up Darrell Lanigan!

third round of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series action in the Buckeye
State took the #49 team to Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio tonight
for the annual running of the 'Steel Valley 50.' Jonathan Davenport

session prior to advancing up to second in his loaded heat race.

Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio. Jonathan Davenport was one of 35 entrants
at the pristine facility to compete in the 2nd Annual 'Freedom 50.'
Jonathan timed in eighth fastest in Group B during qualifying before
grabbing the third transfer spot through his heat race. After starting

opening leg of a four-race Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series stretch
in the Buckeye State of Ohio kicked off tonight on the banks of
the Ohio River at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. A
strong field of 38 competitors signed into PRP to vie for the $12,000
top prize in the annual running of the 'Independence 50.' Jonathan
Davenport ran sixth in his loaded heat race, but later won his consolation
event to advance into the 50-lapper. JD then unfortunately suffered
a lap 40 flat tire and eventually wound up seventeenth in the final

Prelim; Lands on Podium in $100k Finale!
10, 2018) One of the sport's richest events was
held from June 7-9 at the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg,
Ohio, as 78 competitors converged at the 1/2-mile speedplant to
do battle in 'Dream XXIV.' Following a washout on Thursday night,
both preliminary shows were held on Friday. In the $5,000 to win
prelim during the afternoon, Jonathan Davenport won his heat race
and later led all 25 circuits in the main event to capture his tenth
triumph of 2018 over Don O'Neal, Josh Richards, Shannon Babb, and
Hudson O'Neal! Later that evening, Jonathan placed second in his
heat race prior to taking the lead on several different occasions
throughout the middle stages of the 25-lap sprint and eventually
wound up a strong runner-up behind only $10,000 victor Earl Pearson,
Jr. On Saturday, JD ran second in his stacked heat race before leading
laps 9-35 and the 39th circuit of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream,' but
could not record the $100,000 payday in the 100-lap affair, as he
crossed underneath the checkers in the third position behind only

Fourth in Prelim; Finishes Eighth in Show-Me 100
27, 2018) The Memorial Day holiday weekend took
Jonathan Davenport and the Double L Motorsports team to the state-of-the-art
Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri from May 24-26 for the
26th edition of the Lucas Oil 'Show-Me 100.' Things kicked off at
the 3/8-mile oval with a pair of $6,000 to win preliminary programs.
On Thursday night, Jonathan won his heat race but was unfortunately
involved in a lap 26 caution and wound up nineteenth in the final
rundown of the 45-lapper. At Wheatland on Friday evening, Jonathan
placed second in his heat race before climbing past eight competitors
in the 40-lap main event to record a strong fourth place effort
behind only victor Jimmy Owens, Brian Shirley, and Scott Bloomquist!
By virtue of racking up the ninth best point total
during preliminary action, JD rolled off from the inside of the
fifth row in the Saturday's 100-lap headliner, which once again

20, 2018) The #49 team was back on the Lucas Oil
Late Model Dirt Series grind on May 18-19 in the states of Wisconsin
and Minnesota and racked up their ninth feature win of the 2018
racing season! Things kicked off on Friday night at 141 Speedway
in Maribel, Wisconsin and Jonathan Davenport ran second in his heat
race before finishing tenth in the $12,000 to win feature event
in his first-ever visit to the Badger State oval.
At Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota
on Saturday evening, Jonathan placed second in his loaded heat race
and later started the 'NAPA North Star Nationals' from the inside
of the third row. JD then grabbed the point from leader Chad Simpson
on the 32nd circuit and held off a charging Bobby Pierce to capture
the $13,000 top prize in the 50-lapper ahead of Pierce, Simpson,
Don O'Neal, and Scott Bloomquist. Tonight's $10,000 to win 'Go 50'
scheduled for I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska was then unfortunately

point leader Jonathan Davenport claimed his eighth feature win of
the 2018 racing season on Friday evening, May 4 in the annual 'Toyota
Knoxville 50' at the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee!
Jonathan knocked down the eighth fastest lap overall during the
qualifying session before running third in his stacked heat race.
After rolling off from the outside of the fourth row in the 50-lap
feature event, JD stormed up to the second spot and was in prime
position to take advantage of leader Jimmy Owens' blown motor on
lap 46. The Blairsville, Georgia superstar then led the final handful
of laps to pocket the $12,000 windfall ahead of Tim McCreadie, Don
O'Neal, Dennis Erb, Jr., and Earl Pearson, Jr.!
